Seven 45 hour courses required for the Fire Officer One Certificate of Competency

* Individual courses are provided at the FMTI Coral Springs Campus

** Registration and payment must be received no later than 3 days prior to the beginning of each class. Books are a responsibility of the student and no certificate will be issued if the student has not met all entrance requirements (book, registration fee, successful final exam score (70% or better), and written / oral presentation when required).

*** Additional classes are required to sit for the state test.

**** Classes are taught on a flexible, weekly schedule. 9 hours per day, 5 days per class with 1 additional  week for make-ups. Class total: 45 hours. Student will meet with the instructor once a week by appointment to receive face to face instruction, assignments and to make presentations as required.

Students are responsible for bookwork, homework, tests/quizzes, and classroom participation

(Students must have book and attend 45 hours of classroom/independent study (Homework) for certification)
