Tactical Medical Course
The Tactical Medical Course is a comprehensive training program designed to prepare personnel tasked with providing emergency medical support for law enforcement and military special operations teams. It is designed to train the student in Tactical Combat Casualty Care, tactical team operations/equipment, and weapons handling skills. Not a "sit back and listen" course, a cadre of experienced instructors will provide training with an emphasis on the hands-on component along with practical scenarios.
Equipment requirements
Each participant should bring their own trauma or "crash" kit containing routinely used equipment and supplies appropriate to their level of licensure and training. Equipment will be re-used throughout the training. Additional equipment required:
- Duty Pistol w/ spare magazines and holster
- High intensity flashlight
- Gas Mask
- Eye and ear protection for gun range
- 750 rounds of ammunition for handgun
- Tactical Uniform (BDU's or flight suit)
- Body Armor ( Tact vest or soft body armor and LBV)
- Helmet
- Knee Pads
